Chronic undermining burrowing ulcer is a cutaneous condition that is a postoperative, progressive bacterial gangrene.^[1]^: 269 It is seen in immunocompromised individuals, mostly after post abdominal surgery and rapidly spreads to involve a large area.^{[citation needed]}
