«Флаг муниципального образования представляет собой прямоугольное полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее композицию герба муниципального образования — Даниловский муниципальный район в синем, жёлтом и белом цветах».

Описание герба: «В лазоревом поле с золотой оконечностью, серебряное изображение пророка Даниила, с золотым лучистым сиянием вокруг головы, с разведёнными руками, ладони которых положены на головы противосидящих золотых львов, с обращёнными личинами и поднятыми хвостами. Сопровождаемый дугообразно одиннадцатью восьмилучевыми звёздами».
