Summary

A trainer (not shown) is interviewing a virtual Soldier in a role-playing session. The virtual Soldier has a leadership role in an Army unit. The trainer must tell the virtual Soldier what the Soldier is not doing correctly.

The trainer is evaluating the virtual Soldier's performance in one of 13 scenarios.

A computer program evaluates leaders on how they respond to incidents of sexual assault or harassment within their units.

(Army researchers have found that trainers for Soldiers internalize their SHARP training (the Army's anti-sexual harassment policy) much more when they can interact with a virtual Soldier who is simulated to have been involved with a sexual harassment incident. The Emergent Leader Immersive Training Environment (ELITE) has 13 scenarios to test the knowledge of the SHARP trainer using the virtual Soldier (shown) to train on.)

Correct responses unlock appropriate elements of the course. To successfully complete the course, users must elicit enough correct responses in a given scenario.

Users of this program shows a 40% increase in their knowledge of the SHARP policy. Users can review missed concepts and practice lessons they didn't get right during their first trial. from: https://www.army.mil/article/223453/virtual_program_adds_elite_dimensions_to_sharp_training
