Description
English: False-color image of the surface plumes and degassing from a underwater volcanic eruption between Fiji and Tonga. In particular, circular eruption plumes and linear clouds of released volcanic gases and water vapor are visible. This image was taken from satellite data at 10 m/pixel from a Sentinel-2 satellite of the European Space Agency Copernicus Programme. The false RGB colors correspond to red, green, and near-infrared bands.
