English: Tomb of Robert Owen (1771-1858). The tomb stands against the south wall of the ruined 661993.

Robert Owen was born and died in Newtown. He was a social reformer and founder of the Cooperative Movement http://www.tlysau.org.uk/en/item10/20653 .

In 1902, the Co-operative Union paid for the fine iron railings which now surround his grave. See also 661998.
