Description
English: Grumman proposed USAF ADCOM F-14 Tomcat Interceptor - 1972. This mock-up was created by Grumman in response to an Air Force proposal to replace the Convair F-106 Delta Dart as an Aerospace Defense Command interceptor in the 1970s. Photo taken at the Grumman Calverton test facility in the summer of 1972. Note the simulated "Buzz Code" and Aerospace Defense Command livery and emblem on the tail. The program was terminated in April 1974.
