Pont-Scorff (French pronunciation: [pɔ̃ skɔʁf]; Breton: Pont-Skorf) is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France.[3] It takes its name from the river Scorff, which flows through the town.

Geography[edit]

The town lies in the valley of the river Scorff. Historically, it belongs to Vannetais. The town is located 10 km (6.2 mi) north of Lorient.

Inhabitants of Pont-Scorff are called in French Scorvipontains or Scorffipontais.

Breton language[edit]

The municipality launched a linguistic plan through Ya d'ar brezhoneg on 22 February 2008.

In 2008, 8.74% of children attended the bilingual schools in primary education.[5]
