Too many battles[edit]

Hi. I would like to ask editors to try keeping this template contained to significant battles, and not simply pile on names of every single armed action by Portuguese ships. There were gazillions of battles, armed clashes, encounters, skirmishes, raids, massacres, piratical actions, etc. in the course of the Portuguese presence in the Indian Ocean in the 16th C., only a few of which can be characterized as "battles". I would like to extoll enthusiastic editors to resist to urge to list all armed actions - otherwise the template will quickly expand to hundreds, if not thousands, of entries, putting significant battles, like Cochin 1504 and Diu 1509, on the same footing as some minor skirmish or act of piracy. I ask editors to consider leaving minor actions within the pages of the relevant Portuguese India Armadas (each of which undertook multiple armed actions), and only create separate battle pages for significant battles of strategic significance.
