Background colors[edit]

Anyone else feel that the colors on this template might need to be "toned down" a bit? The title of the box is difficult to read against the bright red background. — Bellhalla 16:15, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm ok with that. Give it a try and see what happens. Lbbzman 23:35, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Changed colors to match similar boxes. Bellhalla 21:58, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Principal cities?[edit]

There are certain cities that are listed in bold with a key in the legend saying that those cities are "principal cities." What does that mean? Are there criteria? Should this designation be removed? Lbbzman 23:37, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the bolding because I think such a designation should be explained, and there'll never be enough room in a template. Also, the bolding makes the template more visually confusing to navigate. — Laura Scudder 15:47, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for doing that. I think it looks much better now. Lbbzman 16:36, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Population estimates[edit]

Would it be practical to update the categories cities as placed in? Taking at look at it at the very least McKinney, Allen & Irving should move up if we look at the latest NCTCOG population estimates [1]. --129.120.86.13 21:46, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Henderson County? fuhgedaboutit![edit]

Could someone point out some noted reference that places Henderson County within the DFW metroplex? .....sure is a long way from Dallas.....I work there and I can say clearly noone I work with considers it a part of the DFW metroplex. Buddpaul 18:43, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
