Inclusion of mythology and folklore[edit]

I propose that we remove the section on legendary beings as mythology and folklore are not the same as fiction. By linking to pages like List of dragons in mythology and folklore we are passing a judgement on the metaphysical reality of beings like Leviathan, Quetzalcoatl and Lóng which is neither our right nor our job here. We shouldn't be claiming that belief systems are false and it's easily avoided. Fiction and folklore are also separate genres, with the later aimed to at least partially be believed. Regardless of our views, the Bible was not written with the same intention as Dracula and The Lord of the Rings. I think putting this material in another template focuses on mythology and folklore would be beneficial. Ingwina (talk) 06:45, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
