Because of reasons that are way too long to explain, I cannot log in via the web and must use the app- for the same reason, it will not let me use the Help desk. I was wondering how to use TW on the app. Please tag Acer-the-Protogen in reply. Thank you. 74.104.160.163 (talk) 13:18, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- Posts to your user page appear as a notification in and of themselves, pinging on your user talk page is redundant.
- I'm not entirely sure if TW works on the app. According to WP:TW it doesn't officially work on the mobile version of Wikipedia, though there is an unofficial workaround. I'll leave this open in case someone knows. 331dot (talk) 14:29, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think it's possible using the mobile app itself. I believe the app uses display tooling specific to Android/iOS, and as such the dependencies that Twinkle depends on won't be available in the app itself. I think you'd have to log in via a browser on your phone and use the workaround 331dot mentions if you're using the mobile web UI. I personally find the mobile app mostly useless for what I do day-to-day on Wikipedia, so I'm not the most experienced with it. stwalkerster (talk) 20:52, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Stwalkerster Me too. It's nice for reading and not much else. (Acer's userpage |what did I do now) 21:56, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
