Revert of Randi Weingarten
[edit]For your information, the punctuation (specifically, the last comma in the list) in the Randi Weingarten article, which you reverted, was removed in accordance with general punctuation of lists, wherein the last item in the list is not preceded by a comma, as described in the Serial comma article. - The Wikipedia serial comma article definitely does not make any recommendation or provide any guidance for or against the use of serial commas - it presents the arguments for and against both usages but does not make recommendations, since it's a general Wikipedia article and is thus NPOV. As I pointed out in my edit summary, the Manual of Style entry for the Oxford comma clearly states that both "serial-comma" and "no-serial-comma" are acceptable, but consistent application within an article is what is most important. The Randi Weingarten article uses serial commas consistently throughout the article. That's why diverging from that consistency in the first sentence isn't appropriate. We use whatever the article already uses. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 18:57, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
