Thanks for work on the Sheela Lambert page[edit]

Hi there and thank you for working on the Sheela Lambert page. Having discovered Wikipedia via BiNet USA Larry (Lordlnyc) & I are a bit frantic trying to put in/update NYC related bisexual stuff. So good to have an additioonal pair or eyes & hands CyntWorkStuff 17:32, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's nice to se that you have been continuing to get info for this page, however having left it in limbo with too much non-relevent as well as duplicate info has put it in danger of being removed. See comments in this discussion here [1]. CyntWorkStuff 21:41, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rugby Super League[edit]

Hey...what's up? Uhm, by Rugby Super League I assume you are referencing the Rugby Union Tournament set up by USA Rugby. If so, The Rugby Super League is supposed to be amateur. Not to say that some really rich teams don't help out their players *cough* OMBAC *cough*. The official site is www.premier-rugby.com. What's confusing is that in the UK they have Super League Rugby www.superleague.co.uk which is Rugby League and is completely proffesional, whereas the US Rugby Super League is Rugby Union. I'm not sure how much you know about the sport (or sports) so I hope that the manner I've presented this information isn't insulting. Feel free to ask any questions about Rugby or whatever. Cheers,

June Meetup in New York[edit]

Hi, I noticed you are characterized as a New Yorker or someone living in New York City so perhaps you might be in the NYC area in June. If you are interested we are having a meetup for Wikipedians in June in NYC. Take a peek at this and please tell any other Wikipedians that you think might be interested in participating about this event. Thanks. Alex756 02:25, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Brianna Goldberg, welcome to WikiProject LGBT Studies!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles of interest to the LGBT community. Some points that may be helpful:

  • Our main aim is to help improve LGBT-related articles, so if someone asks for help with an article, please try your hardest to help them if you are able.
  • Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, peer review and a project-wide article collaboration, all of which you are welcome to take part in. We also have a unique program to improve our lower quality articles, Jumpaclass, so please consider signing up there.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign LGBT topics.
  • If you're planning to stay, have a square in our quilt! You can put anything you want in it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome!

Recent additions to LGBT "to do" list[edit]

Hi, Snoopy! I see that InsightOut has a part of the article in InsightOut Book Club, which is a redirect. Don't see anything for the Gay World Series - should be an interesting article!

Did you also add those two to Wikipedia:Requested articles/Social sciences and philosophy? The "to do" list is built every night and brings in the appropriate section from the Requested Articles page. If you don't add them there, the bot will over-write it tonight.

Thanks for the addition(s)! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 20:06, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Brianna!

I've added the {{expand}} tag to GO NYC. The bot generated list Wikipedia talk:WikiProject LGBT studies/to do full list looks for that tag when it makes the list. Thanks for your work - and happy editing :) -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 22:00, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Moving of the Word Faggot on the Reappropriation page[edit]

I, as a lesbian, find the word Faggot very offensive. I would also sermize that many members of the LGBT community would find the use of the word offensive. It is my opinion that the word be moved, which I did to the lesser reappropriated list. We can all remember the Isaiah Washington controversy at the 2007 Golden Globes.

Hi Brianna!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you!
