[edit]Retrieve Deleted Article about the Fibonacci Quartet
[edit]Hi @Cactus.man, I see that on 22 October 2022 Cactus.man deleted the page Fibonacci Quartet... which was quite possibly a premature creation at the time, but here we are 30 months on and the ensemble is still going strong and with several prizes awarded of international standing, and hence I am minded to have a go at an article for the group. If there was any useful material in the original one it might help me get started... PS I see a prize list including
First Prize in the Royal Overseas League Chamber Music Competition, First Prize in the Cavatina Chamber Music Competition, The RPS Henderson Chamber Ensemble Award, First Prize in the International Triomphe de l’Art Competition in Belgium, The Kirckman Society Award, Audience Prize at the Schiermonnikoog Festival and Special Prizes of the Shostakovich Association in Paris and Peermusic in Hamburg.
And now they've been announced as Nina Drucker Fellows at the RAM... So hopefully it should be possible to credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject now... Yadsalohcin (talk) 22:03, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Yadsalohcin
- Per your request I have restored the deleted content of the Article to Draft:Fibonacci Quartet. Good luck bringing the Draft up to acceptable Wikipedia Article standards within the deadline. Best wishes, Cactus.man ✍ 23:22, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- Cactus.man Many thanks. Yadsalohcin (talk) 09:31, 25 March 2025 (UTC)

Help about an article being deleted
[edit]Hello @Cactus.man.
I am sending this message to you to ask you for help concerning an article marked as "article for deletion".
This article is here : Shahriyar Majidzade
The subject of this article is the founder of a research center which I am also a member of. After this article was marked as "article for deletion" on the grounds of "not being a notable person" I tried to edit this article to add more information and citations to justify the notability of this person.
After editing the article as a new Wikipedian "Jay8g" Messaged me (User_talk:1amroff) and told me that my actions are considered as having "conflict of interest" because of the relationship between me and the subject.
He also told me that I can ask for help for this matter so someone proofread my edits and make the article a neutral one.
I would be very happy if you would help me.
Thanks.

- Hi 1amroff, thanks for your message re the above article currently subject to possible deletion. I am currently fairly inactive on Wikipedia and don't normally do much work in Articles for Creation reviews so feel that I'm unable to be of much help to you. I suggest that you check out the advice at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation plus List of Reviewers and, in particular, this page for a list of reviewers with suitable experience who may be able to help. Best wishes. Cactus.man ✍ 18:29, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

Interface administrator changes
- Following an RfC, administrator elections were permanently authorized on a five-month schedule. The next election will be scheduled soon; see Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections for more information. This is an alternate process to the RfA process and does not replace the latter.
- An RfC was closed with consensus to allow editors to opt-out of seeing "sticky decorative elements". Such elements should now be wrapped in {{sticky decoration wrapper}}. Editors who wish to opt out can follow the instructions at WP:STICKYDECO.
- An RfC has resulted in a broad prohibition on the use of AI-generated images in articles. A few common-sense exceptions are recognized.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!
