You deserve this for your herculean efforts to improve Biblical criticism and respond to the comments at its recent FAC. As Gog mentioned in the closing note, with some additional work it will have a good chance at passing next time around. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 05:04, 14 December 2020 (UTC) |

Ovinus has given you a bowl of peaches! This delicious fruit promotes WikiLove and has hopefully made your day juicier. Spread peachiness and WikiLove by giving someone else some peaches, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend, by adding {{subst:Peach}} to their talk page with a friendly message!
Was thinking of you and your work earlier, Jen. Thanks for everything and I hope you have a good day! I certainly will be... today is a dim light at the end of this year-long tunnel. Warmly, Ovinus (talk) 13:38, 20 January 2021 (UTC)

Thank you Jenhawk777 for the message that you left on Gerda's page for me. Truly, the volunteers of these huge projects like WP, LibriVox, DP cannot go the extra mile without people like Gerda and you, who inject fresh energy into the volunteers. For all the time and effort you have put in — across thousands of edits — to markedly improve numerous articles related to Christianity all these years. The magnitude of the positive impact you have had with regard to Wikipedia's coverage of academic topics related to Christianity is unprecedented; I cannot think of any other editor who has worked so rigorously and improved those topics to the extent that you have. You are a phenomenal editor and your work is awe-inspiring. Thank you for all that you do! — The Most Comfortable Chair 21:12, 1 June 2022 (UTC) |

- ActivelyDisinterested Bless you! Thank you! I so deeply appreciate you and all your work. You are still the one I will reach out to when I have a problem, but you have taught me a lot, and this article was just too much to ask someone else to do for me. I would have enjoyed banging my head against a wall more, but hey, I followed your example and got it done. I put it up for peer review and others suggested adding back a theology section which I am beginning work on today. Thank you again. You are a great blessing. Question from Abhisennin (08:17, 3 May 2025)
[edit]Hello, I'm looking to request an article for a senior civil servant in Indian law enforcement. All of the material has been collated however there is a conflict of interest. Could you guide me on the approach to submission and way forward.
This would be a article for an accomplished senior Indian Police Services Officer with multiple awards, a tedx speaker who has held key responsibilities in the state. --Abhisennin (talk) 08:17, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
- You can write a biography of a live person Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons but you need to have secondary sources to do so. News articles qualify, but it must be a published source that is not you. You may not use yourself or them as a source. You are both primary sources, and that would require what is called WP:OR original research, and that is not allowed on Wikipedia.
- Read this page: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and disclose what your relationship with this person is and if there is any conflict of interest. Some important points:
Editors with a COI, including paid editors, are expected to disclose it ...COI editors are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly, and can propose changes on article talk pages instead.
- If you don't follow these, eventually someone will notice and revert (remove) all your work, and you will have wasted all your time and effort. Jenhawk777 (talk) 17:45, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Question from Scott Slowik on Ruth Buzzi (18:19, 4 May 2025)
[edit]Hello. Ruth Buzzi recently passed and I’d like to edit her filmography (TV show section) to include the fact she was panelist on Hollywood Squares in 1968 (4 times but that is irrelevant). I could not figure out how to insert that information between her other television appearances.. mainly “That Girl” and “The Carol Burnett Show”. Thank you if you can help. --Scott Slowik (talk) 18:19, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Scott Slowik and welcome to Wikipedia. I am posting a welcome with some links on your talk page. Please do a quick read of those links. There is a lot to learn here, so taking the time to do that is important to your success and enjoyment - and the acceptance of your work. You can start here: Help:Editing. You must have secondary sources - printed sources - that are not you. You are a primary source and therefore are not a valid WP reference. You would have to interpret what you say yourself and its accuracy cannot be verified by a reader who doesn't know you. That's anathema here. Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:17, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
Hi, how do I correct an error in this article on the Calvary statue on the Charles Bridge in Prague. It mentions a plaque placed near the statue at the request of group of North American rabbis. I was one of those rabbis present along with a representative from the Cardinal and the mayor of Prague and the year was not, as stated, 2009. It was in 2000. --RabbiEMF (talk) 02:09, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I have posted a welcome with a few links in it that should be read before attempting editing here. In answer to your question, you must have secondary sources. You cannot use yourself as a source - unless someone interviewed you and printed it in a newspaper or magazine or some such thing, you are not a viable WP source. You are a primary source, and primary sources cannot be used because you would have to interpret them yourself WP:OR and they would not be verifiable WP:verifiablity for the reader. Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:28, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello, I found out that the name of my favorite singer on Wiki page is wrong, so I registered on Wiki and changed his name. Then a few days later, another user cancelled my change saying that it was because the Wikipedia guideline said the name of Hong Kong person should be a hyphenated style. As a Hong Konger, based on Hong Kong ID Card and Passport, the names on Hong Kong legal documents are not hyphenated. The actual case is Eason Chan. His current name showed on wiki page is Eason Chan Yick-shun, but according to Hong Kong legal documents such as passport and ID cards, it should be Eason Chan Yick Shun. And the user who cancelled my edit told me to follow this page "WP:ZHNAME". Am i get any mistake in my editing? --PsaiKi S (talk) 10:54, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- You have to cite the secondary source you used to make that change or another editor will revert you every time. I have now posted a welcome to your talk page with links that will answer your questions here. Referencing is a requirement. Use good quality secondary sources. If you do that and still get reverted, post on the talk page and ask them to provide references and see if you can work it out. Jenhawk777 (talk) 17:16, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]hello i actually have a question that i mostly write wikitext first in my notepad and save it as a file and work on it when it completes i copy it and then paste it in editor. i just wanted to ask if copy pasting what i had been writing violates the T&C of wikipedia. --Ibn e Haider (talk) 18:06, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I created a new article but need help checking if everything is correct. Thanks! --GabrielBossjr (talk) 03:55, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- Be sure it is all correctly sourced to high quality sources, that's the "correct" you need to be concerned about. Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:37, 18 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from Bushigongzuomayi on Richard Stöhr (16:55, 19 May 2025)
[edit]Hello Jenhawk! I think I like it! I found some corrections I would like to make at the German translation. Do I just correct and if I am mistaken the crowd will re- correct? I am out of Business since a decade and try to uphold my skills but sometimes I must look up the dictionary as I start to mix the writing of the different languages in writing. Or I am sure of something wrong. 😀 --Bushigongzuomayi (talk) 16:55, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hello back at ya' Bushigongzuomayi!!
You must - must - have a good quality secondary source that verifies anything you add to Wikipedia. Otherwise the "crowd" will revert - that's delete - what you've added. Dictionaries can be a source for translation. Good luck and happy editing! Jenhawk777 (talk) 18:31, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
