The tribe's name is explained in the very next sentence of the article.
[edit]"... and their name probably derives from a local, unidentified river." The tribe's name is explained in the very next sentence of the article: "The Rhynchinoi settled along the river Rhechinos (or Rhechios)". The source is already listed: M.B. Sakellariou (1983). Macedonia 4000 years of Greek History and Civilization. New York: Pan-Macedonian Association of the United States and Canada. How can an identified river be unidentified??? Map of 922 during Zar Simeon reign
[edit]Dear all,
I am trying to find more details of the map that is published on the page illustrating the area of the kingdom of Tzar Simeon during 922.
More specifically I am puzzled by the fact that "Molista" what is today a very small village is mentioned in the Map (south west area - near Ioannina and Metsovo) while the near by city of Konitsa is not on the map.
Can anyone share any insights of why this is the case? Any references to Molista in other parts of Bulgarian history? My origin is from Molista and our historical archive dates back to the 1.600, but nothing as early as 900 A.D.
Any help would be welcomed. Sincerly Alexandros 195.78.86.241 (talk) 13:04, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
