Joseph, checkout Box Office Guru to get an updated international gross for Godzilla. Godzilla has grossed 312 million internationally as of Aug 10th and it will be more after Japan and Ukraine grosses are added from this past weekend. I know for a fact Godzilla earned close to 5 mil this past weekend in Japan.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:View of Shillong at night.jpg
[edit]
A tag has been placed on File:View of Shillong at night.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Ronhjones (Talk) 23:36, 5 June 2014 (UTC)

Using inaccurate/misleading edit summaries
[edit]Hi, I noticed that you seem to be using edit summaries like "fix typo" or "fix grammar" for edits that are most definitely not fixing typos. (See this edit for instance.) Please make sure that your edit summaries actually describe what you're doing in the edit. ~Adjwilley (talk) 00:47, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
I second what Adjwilley says above. There is no requirement to use edit summaries so you are free to leave them blank, but if you do use them they must not be misleading. Betty Logan (talk) 09:33, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- Adjwilley and Betty Logan, I wonder if there is a language barrier with Josephlalrinhlua786. And like I've pointed out to Betty Logan via email, I have my suspicion that Lucy White (talk · contribs) is Josephlalrinhlua786. Flyer22 (talk) 04:48, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Interesting...there does seem to be some overlap, but I noticed that the prompt for edit summaries in mobile editing is "Example: fixed typo, added content" so a lot of mobile edits will probably look alike. I have blocked Josephlalrinhlua786 for 2 days because of the edit summary issue, which will hopefully get their attention. ~Adjwilley (talk) 05:20, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- I didn't know that about the mobile phone editing. That explains why I often see new editors adding material with the edit summary "Added content." Flyer22 (talk) 05:31, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Adjwilley and Betty Logan, judging by this, this and this, there is not much of a language barrier between us and Josephlalrinhlua786. He is capable of explaining himself well enough in edit summaries. Josephlalrinhlua786, it's obviously good that you've gotten better with edit summaries. Do try to use them more often, and make sure that your edits are accurate and are not WP:Synthesis. Also, regarding the first link I pointed to in this paragraph, be careful not to label WP:Good faith edits as WP:Vandalism. Even if an editor's edits are WP:Disruptive, those edits are not necessarily WP:Vandalism. By that, I mean if the editor truly means well and is not trying to harm Wikipedia. When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please make sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
The edit summary appears in:

Dragon Blade, screenings
[edit]Hi, on Dragon Blade I noticed that you updated the box office for the film with The Hollywood Reporter article, which is great. But I noticed that you also put "with 100,581 screenings and 2.1 million attendances" [1], which is from the article, but when you put it in a context like that, it is incorrect. I noticed that in many of these Hollywood Reporter articles, they mentions the screenings and attendances, but these figures are NOT referring to the cumulative screenings and attendances of the film, but it is referring to the 7 days period of box office tracking (you notice that these Hollywood Reporter articles on box office in China comes out every 7 days).
And surely if this film made over 100 million dollars it would've had more than 100,581 screenings and 2 million attendances in its entire run, wouldn't it? So when you update the box office for films in the future, it is probably best to note that these figures for screenings and attendances are not for the entire run of the film. Or perhaps skip them and just mention the box office gross. And thank you for updating the article.--Thomasettaei (talk) 11:39, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, I think similar information on screenings, attendances, etc. is on the From Vegas to Macau II and Boonie Bears: Mystical Winter articles. Can you perhaps fix them as well?--Thomasettaei (talk) 11:26, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Unnecessary subheadings: MOS:Paragraphs
[edit]Hey, Josephlalrinhlua786. You've seen me revert you at times while citing MOS:Paragraphs; the part I am referring to is where it states, "Short paragraphs and single sentences generally do not warrant their own subheading." It is usually not good form to create a subheading for one-sentence material, material that is a couple of sentences or material that is otherwise significantly small. Just like the Critical reception section usually does not need to be broken up into Positive reviews and Negative reviews, the Box section usually, or at least often, does not need to be broken up into North America and Outside North America or North America and Other territories. The non-heading text can inform readers what content pertains to "outside North America," like the Cinderella (2015 film) article does. That is why I reverted you here, here and here at that article. If the box office content becomes hefty, like the box office content at the Fifty Shades of Grey (film) article currently is, then it is a good idea to split the content into subsections. Flyer22 (talk) 20:46, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
And I've reverted you again on this; stop WP:Edit warring on it. You don't discuss matters on the talk page, so I can hardly expect a discussion with you. Even so, I can seek some form of WP:Dispute resolution, such as going to WP:Film, to ensure that you follow Wikipedia's guidelines, including MOS:Paragraphs. Flyer22 (talk) 06:32, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Taken to WP:Film, which you will already know if you have WP:Ping enabled. Flyer22 (talk) 02:52, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- Despite the request by Flyer22 above you have continued turning single paragraphs into sections such as at Cinderella. If you believe you have valid reasons then please engage with the community and join the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film#Unnecessary subheadings, which violate MOS:Paragraphs, in the Box office sections and explain to us why your approach is superior. It is important for you participate in the discussion if this issue is to be resolved. Betty Logan (talk) 04:19, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

AoU box office
[edit]Please read WP:IINFO. We are not a collection of statistic material. There is nothing notable about the two day earnings (that I can see) and we can easily just have the weekend number. Secondly, you yourself removed the info on the $3 million IMAX domestic record. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:00, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for pointing out my flaws and I will work on that, but u see I'm just following what happened in the page The Avengers and Iron Man 3 and many other articles that has put the day 1 day 2 or even day 3 gross. So if u removed my "hardwork" box office edits in this page, why not remove those edits that includes those grosses from unecessary days? I mean if u don't that would be discrimination and bias right? If point your finger at one editor making a mistake and u clean that out and then there's dozens of other articles having the same mistake but u don't do nothing about u, I mean how it that even justified. I feel like you're the only one whose having problem with it. Look at the cast section, it's so long and stuffy and excessively detailed. And next time please instead of reverting someone else's hardwork, instead try editing or collecting news for the page like eg, the page lacks the news about the controversial Germany cinema boycott and the box office opening impact the Saturday Manny-Paman fight had. Why not add those info rather than minding ur business into someone else's work?. Try adding that Germany cinema boycott, I suggest you to.

Copying = lazy and bad
[edit]Regarding this edit, as we've all presumably learned in grammar school, copying is bad. Please don't copy/paste content like this from sources again. You can include facts like dates and names and titles, but you cannot copy prose without marking it as a quotation, because prose is copyrighted. This is something Wikipedia takes very seriously and can easily result in a block. You've been warned before about copyright violations, I see. There was another problem too, that you indiscriminately included information about the pre-party, as if we're all invited and need to know when to show up. I've removed that as trivial. POV editing
[edit]Hi Joseph, on at least two occasions I've noticed you changing the Jurassic World budget data to fit what I can only imagine is your preferred POV. Your original edit here was problematic because you seemed to be under the impression that facts are democratically selected. I opened a discussion on the article's talk page and pinged you, but you didn't participate. Resubmitting the same data as you did in this edit without any further discussion, and with an insufficient explanation "budget" tends to make you look sneaky, and that you are trying to cater facts to your point of view. Please don't do this, it's academically dishonest, as well as disruptive. If there are different perspectives about some data, and those perspectives come from various reliable sources, we should be presenting the range of data, not cherrypicking the data we like best. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:32, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Box Office Mojo numbers aren't up to date.
[edit]Just wonder why you and others think they are the most accurate site for box office numbers and in particular international numbers? RTurner711 (talk) 11:12, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
We don't, which is why we said that. They are obviously the most accurate source for movie revenues (theatrically), but sometimes they are not always up to date. For example, a recent example can be given to The Maze Runner which they forgot to still include the revenue the film earned from it Japan release (around $4+ million according to Deadline.com. And regarding the "International total box office" section, it tends to really vary with other sites such as Deadline.com, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety, so it's hard to decide which one is more genuine in terms of total gross. But in terms of domestic gross and worldwide gross, they are the most dependable, they systematically and chronologically lists every record and grosses daily - weekly - monthy. What other site does a very intense scrutiny over movie box office performance other than BOM?

[edit] Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Ant-Man (film). Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. You're edit summary regarding recent box office information was unnecessary. I invite you to read up on WP:INDISCRIMINATE to see that every possible stat or info does not need to be mentioned. For example, top markets can generally be limited to three. Additionally, possibly explore Deadline.com's articles to see that their box office info is updated throughout the day/weekend on one url, so the same link used to add info in the morning, may be able to cover new info added later in the day (as was the case here). Hi. When you make edits like this one, keep in mind that it's important to quote sources exactly as they wrote something. Paraphrasing them while placing those words in quotation marks isn't acceptable. I've fixed your edit, but please be mindful of this in the future. Grandpallama (talk) 19:44, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Date format
[edit]Please ensure that when you add dates to articles written in British English—such as Spectre or Kingsman—you do so in a format consistent with the rest of the article. You should note that the format "October 22, 2015" should not be used in articles in British English. – SchroCat (talk) 20:55, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
Personal attacks
[edit]If you insult others, as you did here, I will happily file a report against you at the relevant forum. As per the original resin for reversion, see the thread above: do not use US formats in a British English article. I am bored of having to change your inappropriate formats. – SchroCat (talk) 14:06, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
Ya i know what i said and it was wrong, but can't you just simply correct the date format instead of reverting the whole thing? If u knew the fault u could've just corrected it. Simple!
- Having corrected several of your poorly formatted additions and left a note here, the onus is on YOU to get it right. - SchroCat (talk) 16:18, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- well than, from now on i will try my utmost effort to not make mistakes again and u stop stalking me. You stick to what you're doing and i'll stick to what i'm doing. Let's not mind someone else's business ok? thank you
- I've not stalked you at all, so please don't try and smear me with untruths. I have fixed your errors on two articles, both of which I have edited for some time. – SchroCat (talk) 14:21, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Dates AGAIN
[edit]How many bloody times do you have to be reminded to use the right date format]. It's not bloody difficult, and I'll happily revert your additions if you can't be bothered to do it properly. – SchroCat (talk) 18:11, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Moving articles and sorting
[edit]Thank you for moving The Legend of Tarzan (film) to the correct location. Be aware that when you are creating or moving an article and the article begins with "The", "A" or "An" (or the equivalent in other languages) that you should introduction a sorting key above the categories. This allows the article to be sorted correctly when one visits the categories it is in. You can read more at WP:SORTKEY. BOVINEBOY2008 02:05, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

[edit] There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.
Hi Joseph. I think the problem with edits like this is an unfamiliarity with how Wikipedia works. Firstly, text you write is usually recoverable if somebody else removes it; if you go to the "History" tab on an article, you can click on an older revision that has your text in it. Don't just blindly restore the old version though, that overwrites other editors work and result in sanctions for edit-warring. I would strongly recommend starting a discussion on Talk:Deadpool (film) explaining why you want to make your changes. Calmly say what the issue is with the content and why you prefer your version. I hope that's of use - I don't like to see editors blocked, especially for relatively minor issues. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:12, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello! Please do not create Untitled fifth Transformers film again and again. Wait until filming begins or you will be reported to an admin, thanks. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 10:48, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

I was also like you once, so don't worry and just keep editing. But please follow the rules and if you want to contribute this page, just try to contribute Draft:Transformers 5. When filming begins, an admin will move this draft to mainspace. And I'm not stopping or discouraging you from editing, just create articles only when filming has begun. Happy editing. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 12:00, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
Jurassic World
[edit]No idea why you added {{good article}} at the top of Jurassic World, but I have reverted that edit. Articles need to go through a nomination process before achieving "good article" status. I've noticed you've also had other controversial edits on that article, so if you need help editing on Wikipedia or understanding its policies, a good place to start is at the Welcome to Wikipedia page which contains useful links for editors who have questions or need editing assistance. --GoneIn60 (talk) 05:11, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

Ben Hurr
[edit]The problem with the Ben Hurr page is that it's written using WP:Proseline, or in other words, sentences seemingly are added without concern for the larger picute as a whole. I was not "vandalising" as you put it I was merely trying to make the page easier to read. For instance in the casting section you mention Tom Hiddleson, being considered, mention Morgan Freeman, and then mention that Hiddleson wasn't cast. You also do a similar thing for Olivia Cooke later on in the section. Whereas my edit mentions Hiddleson was considered, not cast and then list who was cast and then move on to the next part.
I'm not the greatest speller, I fully admit that, but I do think I know my way around a Wikipedia article. I think if we work together we can make a great article. --Deathawk (talk) 07:24, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
Pattern of disruptive editing detected
[edit]You are continuing to add numerous citations to Forbes Contributors articles to many Wikipedia articles even though it has been pointed out to you that those articles are not reliable sources because there is no pre-publication editorial process, which means Forbes Contributors sites are essentially glorified blogs hosted under the Forbes masthead. Please review WP:RS and WP:V. If you continue to add information cited to sources that clearly do not comply with Wikipedia policy, your edits may be treated as disruptive editing and reverted on sight. Thank you for your cooperation. --Coolcaesar (talk) 09:42, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- Employees? Forbes Contributors are not employees. If you had bothered to spend five minutes actually reading up on how the Forbes Contributors program works, you would not have made that mistake. Do you understand the difference between an employee and an independent contractor? Do you understand the difference between a blogger who posts directly to the Web with no filter, versus a journalist who submits a story to an editor who has discretion as to hold or run the story? Have you actually ever been an employee, independent contractor, blogger, or journalist? (I am beginning to suspect the answer might be no to all of the above.)
- Also, the fact that some other editors are also violating WP policy is no excuse. Either you will bring your edits into compliance or you don't. WP:V is non-negotiable. Every WP editor who has attempted to challenge that core policy either came to realize that discretion is the better part of valor, or otherwise, they realized one day they weren't a WP editor any more. --Coolcaesar (talk) 13:53, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- You keep evading the core issues, which further confirms that you have no justifiable basis for your position. Your evasive tactics are so transparently obvious to any adult they're more sad than funny. (Only children and emotionally immature adults make excuses like that.) Answer the questions. Focus on the issues. Have you even read Wikipedia's core policies? Do you even know what they are? How old are you? 12?
- Also, I just traced the edits of which you speak of. Two are yours. [4] [5] Two others are by
