Disney and Pixar articles[edit]

Your work in this area is unparalleled, and as a lover of these grand animated films, I can't thank you enough for your tireless efforts to bring them up to scratch. Just thought I'd let you feast your eyes on some stats I've put together on the article quality of some of the categories. Its fascinating to see how low many of the articles are (or at least were, when I first created these stat articles in 2012 - before your improvements). Nevertheless there is much work to be done.

I was also wondering if, due to your expertise, you could look over some of the work I've been doing in the realm of animated films and perhaps build upon them through copyediting, research, or other helpful advice to make the articles even better?--Coin945 (talk) 05:51, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

History merge[edit]

Hi, Koala15. You have a version of Cruise (film) in your userspace under the name User:Koala15/Cruise (film). I believe NeilN moved it there, presumably on your request, after the article had been deleted per this deletion discussion in 2016. The article has recently been recreated, with some 2018 sources that I hope will be sufficient for notability. It has a short history, since the entire original history is in the version you have. I've been asked to merge the histories, see [1]. Do you have any objection to that? It would mean your userspace version disappears, because the merge procedure entails moving it to the new version. The edits you have done to it would be preserved in the new merged history, though. Is that all right with you? Bishonen | talk 10:41, 22 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Hi again. Since you haven't responded although you're editing, I suspect you may have missed my question among all the bot posts. (And may easily miss this renewed post, too.) And you don't have wikipedia e-mail enabled. I didn't like to do something that would affect your userspace without consulting you, but since I can't seem to reach you, and can see little practical reason for you to object, I'm going ahead with the hist merge. Hope that's OK. Bishonen | talk 06:39, 23 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]

The Cleanse[edit]

Curious why you keep changing the date to 2016. The film was released in 2018. Themoviedb.org, rottentomatoes, metacritic, etc have the date right. IMDB has it wrong. Please don't use them as your source. frankiestarr (talk) 03:07, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/best-horror-movies-2018-tomatometer/ frankiestarr (talk) 03:22, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Because it premiered at film festivals in 2016, I don't know why that's so hard for you to understand. And why did you create a duplicate article? We only need one article. Koala15 (talk) 03:27, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Party affiliation in infoboxes of United States federal judge articles[edit]

I have noticed you have been adding infoboxes to United States federal judge articles, which is appreciated. However, you are making what is actually a false assumption regarding party affiliation. Just because a judge was appointed by a Republican or Democratic President does not mean his prior party affiliation matched that of the President's. Indeed, President Trump has appointed and will appoint down the road district judges of the Democratic party, as part of deals with the Senators from the states involved. Unless the body of the article makes a cited statement as to the party of the judge, you should leave that field blank. Don't worry about going back and correcting any past articles, I have been doing major cleanup on all federal judge articles for several months now and I will fix any errors as I find them. Safiel (talk) 03:55, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note Your talk page is WAY too long and needs archiving. If you wish, I can set up automatic archiving for you for your talk page. Safiel (talk) 03:55, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't assume anything. I always research stuff like this before adding it. Some judges were also in elected offices before becoming judges. Koala15 (talk) 00:29, 22 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Gov't Mule Revolution Come...Revolution Go.jpg. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:11, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

RonBot (talk) 19:32, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Source for details re Eugene H. Thompson[edit]

You created an article for Eugene H. Thompson with two sources. Which source did you use for his date and place of birth, for the years he served in office or for his date of death? What are the two sources in the article being used for? Alansohn (talk) 02:35, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, this edit to the article for Gerald R. Stockman added a date and place of birth, but no references. What is the source for this information? Alansohn (talk) 12:58, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I get most of the info from the New Jersey legislature manuals, you can look at them in Google books. Koala15 (talk) 03:13, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Koala15, if that's the source, why not add the source to these articles and to every other article you create where you use an edition of the Legislative Manual as a source? What is the purpose of the other sources in the article that confirm nothing in the article?
The Legislative Manuals rarely have dates of death, if ever. Where are you getting that information? Can those sources be included as well? Alansohn (talk) 01:38, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Again you're creating new NJ legislator articles but not providing all of your sources. For example, you just created Frank Catania but the two references you included (both of which are from The New York Times, not properly formatted or linked in the {{cite news}} template) do not show his exact birth date in there. If you are using the NJ Legislative Manuals, please properly reference those similarly to what I had done here. Take note for your image uploads too of their resolution since the bottom of your talk page is filled with those notices. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 15:24, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also re:New Jersey General Assembly members and the charts that are on the various legislative district pages, there is no special distinction between the Assembly member on the left column (middle of the entire table) nor the right column. Example from the 15th Legislative District, Joseph Yuhas's predecessors were both John W. Hartmann and John S. Watson. All General Assembly elections are conducted as multi-member districts. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 15:30, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
