Reverted Change on "Fool's Paradise" Page
[edit]I saw that you recently reverted a change that I'd made to the Fool's Paradise (2023 film) page, and I wanted to find out why. I don't edit Wikipedia much, so I hope that I didn't violate any guidelines, but please let me know if I did. Thanks! KramerCosmonaut (talk) 20:44, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
[edit]A few days ago, you contributed to a discussion I set up on the talk page for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I appreciated that in itself, however I replied, disagreeing with your viewpoint (and, I think providing a good argument). You didn’t respond to me, so I am contacting you in hopes that you will do so, and we can further the discussion there.
I wish you good day,

[edit]Can you explain to me why'd you revert my Original Film edits? I want to know. Thank you 2600:8801:8E:9900:CE4:274B:D6B5:90D4 (talk) 18:55, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- Because none of those sources even mention Original Film. Can you read sources? Are you assuming they will produce? Pretty simple "unexplained" revert for unexplained edits. Mike Allen 21:03, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- NOTHING is unexplained and I'm not assuming anything. Original Film did in fact produce the Jump Street movies that were done by Lord and Miller, as well as the TV shows Prison Break and The Boys. How's this not even a fact?! You're the one who keeps reverting these edits and you're the one assuming that these are fake, when the company's filmography has been shown that they were involved in these projects! And also, you reverted my Better Call Saul edit for no given reason! You need to stop this--2600:8801:8E:9900:D4E3:D9DB:C443:5E9B (talk) 15:34, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
You need to stop this at once. You are committing an edit war. All you are doing is assuming that I am making all of this fake stuff, because you clearly are illiterate! Pay attention to the article before you revert. Please try to read this before you commit one more revert.
I've put all the sources together and I am being truthful, and here you are being like a nazi in World War II dictating what you think is true. No wonder I never wanted to come back to Wikipedia again, because you are completely illiterate and are afraid admit whatever considered true. Please stop reverting.
Final warning!

[edit]That is literally taken from the obituary of Richard's death 27.96.192.128 (talk) 23:51, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- Because the other sources were better and more reliable. Mike Allen 23:58, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- There are no sources stating the nature of the death, naturally when people who are famous die there is an inclination to know and understand why. His wife, Judy has now publicly released that information pertaining to the death, and it's causes which I know to be true, because it's directly related to a family friend. Failing the fact I can't source myself, it's at least relevant to display that he did not die of any suspicious circumstances and there was no foul play. I'm sure some tabloid rag will pick up and run with it eventually however.
- NB: While you probably don't know Richard directly, through his movies, the amount of movies alone he's done in Hong Kong, as well as choreography and stunt doubling makes him quite a fair bit more notable than the average person would realise. --27.96.192.128 (talk) 00:29, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
Hey, so we're trying to figure out whether Li Jun Li should be credited in the infobox and opening paragraph of Sinners. I've been saying that since the poster of the film does not have a billing block, we should be using the single screen billing in the main-on-end titles, which Li did not have.
I've read the Template:Infobox film guidelines, which state that we can [...] use the top-billed actors from the screen credits. An alternative approach may be determined by local consensus and with WP:SECONDARY sources.
Is there anything I'm missing? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 16:05, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- We usually always go by the single screen billing if no billing block can be found. Was there a billing block at the end of the trailer? We can go through secondary sources to see if any highlight her as starring. I think the IP is being disruptive and has an agenda. Mike Allen 16:11, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- She was listed at the end of one trailer, but that was it. I thought trailers only counted until the movie officially came out, then we would use the order in the end credits if we couldn't find a poster with a billing block. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 17:18, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- Is this correct? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 18:51, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- I mean an actual billing block (some trailers do not have them), not just starring names which tends to just be marketing at that point. Mike Allen 19:27, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- Ah. In that case, no. There is no billing block in the trailers. There's just a cast list. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 19:38, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- So, what do I do? SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 20:41, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- I managed to find a TV spot that has the billing block for this movie. https://x.com/wildcardcg/status/1914442772720796116 SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 22:25, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- The IP address that keeps adding Li's name to the billing block has seemingly not read the policy on personal attacks, because they keep accusing me of having an agenda. SomeAnotherCastaway (talk) 16:04, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- Might need to take this to WP:ANI. Mike Allen 20:35, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, administrator elections were permanently authorized on a five-month schedule. The next election will be scheduled soon; see Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections for more information. This is an alternate process to the RfA process and does not replace the latter.
- An RfC was closed with consensus to allow editors to opt-out of seeing "sticky decorative elements". Such elements should now be wrapped in {{sticky decoration wrapper}}. Editors who wish to opt out can follow the instructions at WP:STICKYDECO.
- An RfC has resulted in a broad prohibition on the use of AI-generated images in articles. A few common-sense exceptions are recognized.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!
Li Jun Li - Sinners
[edit]Hi Mike, I wanted to reach out and let you know that the Wikipedia user listed as "SomeOtherCastaway" seems to be addressing issues regarding LiLi and the film SINNERS. However, this person is NOT part of LiLi's team. We don't know who they are, but they shouldn't be speaking on behalf of Lili in anyway. I am part of her team, so please feel free to reach out to me if you or your team have any questions. Thank you very much. Warmest, Brantley (Talent Manager)@MikeAllen LiJunLiofficialteam (talk) 21:17, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
- I would advise that you read WP:COI on why you probably should not be posting on her behalf. This is Wikipedia, not official crediting (she was already credited and paid for her part in the film. Not listing her in the starring credits on a Wikipedia page is not going to change that). User:SomeAnotherCastaway is only a volunter editor here, like me. We are not "speaking" on anyone's behalf. That doesn't makes sense. We (see MOS:FILM) go by the official billing block... if you are on any part of media "team", you would know what a billing block is. It's not the marketing crediting seen during the trailers, it is the one at the END of the trailer, or the BOTTOM of the poster. Thank you, now please stop being disruptive, before you are blocked. The page is already IP protected because of this team. What more disruption do you want to bring to your "client's" film's page? Mike Allen 21:26, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

Alien: Earth - Thailand Production Company
[edit]Hello thank you for your work in maintaining the integrity of the page. I'm still fairly new to wikipedia editing so apologies for any editing mistakes I've attempted. The comment left on my Alien: Earth edit to add Living Films as a production company seems to have been disputed because of lack of resources. I'd like to point out this article from Bangkok Post about the minister from Ministry of Tourism and Sports (Thailand) visited Living Films team and production crew at the film set on the project's final shoot day. Article can be found here: https://www.bangkokpost.com/life/arts-and-entertainment/2829068/minister-visits-alien-film-production-in-thailand Dogherine (talk) 04:20, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- I have no issue including these details in the production section. The infobox is for credited companies. It seems this company didn’t actually produce the series, their services were used for local production in Thailand. Per the source you included:
Christopher Lowenstein (right) and Apinat Siricharoenjit of Living Films, the local facilitator for the shooting of FX's Alien TV Series in Thailand.
Thanks for the information! Once the series has aired we will better see what companies are listed in credits. Mike Allen 11:38, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
