ゼイン・ジャヴァッド・マリク（Zain Javadd Malik, 1993年1月12日 - ）は、イングランドの歌手。イギリスのボーイズグループ、ワン・ダイレクションの元メンバー。身長175cm。瞳の色はヘーゼル。アーティスト名は「ZAYN」[1]。

略歴[編集]

イングランド、ブラッドフォードにてパキスタン系イングランド人の父ヤーセル・マリクと、アイルランドの血を引くイングランド人の母トリシア・ブラナンの間に生まれた[2]。1人の姉と2人の妹がいる。母親が結婚を機にムスリムになったため、ゼイン本人もムスリムだったが、2018年に棄教を表明した[3]。

2015年3月すべての芸能活動からの引退を表明。「引退後は普通の一般男性として生きていきたい」と声明をだしたが、翌週ソロで活動することを移籍事務所より公表した。7月30日にRCAレコードと契約し、ソロ活動をすることを自身のTwitterで発表[4]。

2016年3月25日、「ZAYN」名義でアルバム『Mind Of Mine』を世界同時発売し、先行シングルとして1月29日に『pillowtalk』を配信リリースし、ソロデビューを果たす[1]。

私生活[編集]

リトル・ミックスのペリー・エドワーズと婚約をしたが、2015年に婚約解消をしている[5]。

2015年からファッションモデルのジジ・ハディッドと交際、2016年にソロリリースした『pillowtalk』のMVにはハディッドが出演した[1]。ハディッドとは数回交際してから別れる関係で、2020年9月には第一子となる娘を迎えた[6]。2021年10月、マリクがハディッドの母ヨランダ・ハディッドに暴力を振るったとの報道[7]の後、ジジとの破局が報じられた[8]。

一家はペンシルバニア州バックス郡の田舎にある農場の自宅で大半の時間を過ごしており、ハディッドの母と姉も土地を所有している。また、マリクはマンハッタンのソーホーにアパートを所有している[要出典]。
