リタ・オラ（Rita Sahatçiu Ora、1990年11月26日 - ）は、イギリスの歌手[1][2]。2012年2月、DJフレッシュ（英語版）のシングル「ホット・ライト・ナウ（英語版）」に客演し、イギリスで首位獲得。彼女のデビュースタジオ・アルバム「オラ（英語版）」はイギリスで初登場1位を獲得。このアルバムからのシングル「R.I.P.（英語版）」と「ハウ・ウィー・ドゥ (パーティ)（英語版）」はイギリスで1位を獲得した。これによりオラは、2012年に3曲連続全英チャート1位を獲得した唯一のアーティストになった。

2014年、シングル「アイ・ウィル・ネヴァー・レット・ユー・ダウン（英語版）」がイギリスで首位を獲得。そして、客演したイギー・アゼリアのシングル「ブラック・ウィドウ（英語版）」はイギリスでトップ5に入った[3]。2015年、「The Voice UK」第4シーズンのコーチに就任。その年に終わりに、Xファクター第12シーズンの審査員に就任した。

略歴[編集]

ユーゴスラビアのプリシュティナ（現在のコソボ）でアルバニア系コソボ人の両親のもとに生まれ、その年にイギリス・ロンドンに移住。蚤の市で有名なポートベロ・ストリート周辺で育った。演劇学校と短大で学ぶ一方、2004年と2009年には人気オーデション番組「ユーロヴィジョン」に出場。クレイグ・デイヴィッドら何人かのミュージックビデオに参加するほか、ロンドン市内のバーで歌っていた。あるスカウトマンの紹介でジェイ・Zに会い、Roc Nationレーベルに所属することとなった。2011年に自らネット上に宣伝ビデオをアップロードしはじめて話題になり、"Hot Right Now"がUKシングルチャートの1位になった。

私生活[編集]

彼女の母親はカトリック教徒、父親は文化的ムスリムである[4]。宗教について尋ねられた時、リタは自分自身を宗教的だとは思っておらず、「もっと精神的な人物」と考えていると語っている[5]。また、リタは自分自身をフェミニストだと考えている[6][7]。

彼女は母方の祖父オスマン・バグラクタリは外交官だった。彼は1980年代にロシア（その後ソ連の一部）のアルバニア領事だった[8][9]。彼女の父方の祖父ベシム・サハチュー（英語版）は映画監督、演出家であった[10]。

2015年7月10日、リタはロンドンのコソボ大使館でコソボ共和国大統領アティフェテ・ヤヒヤガによって名誉大使に任命された[11][12]。式典に参加したオラは元イギリス首相トニー・ブレアとその妻シェリー・ブレアと会談し、コソボの青年を助けることを約束し、役割を「誇りに思う」と述べた[11]。

2013年4月から2014年6月までカルヴィン・ハリスと交際[13]。トミー・ヒルフィガーの息子リチャード・ヒルフィガーと1年間交際した後、2015年7月に破局[14]。

2021年4月から映画監督のタイカ･ワイティティと交際中。2023年1月のインタビューで、ワイティティと結婚したことを認めた[15]。
