アメリカ合衆国初代大統領ジョージ・ワシントンの2回目の就任式（英: Second presidential inauguration of George Washington）は、1793年3月4日にペンシルバニア州フィラデルフィアにあるコングレス・ホールの上院議場で行われ、ジョージ・ワシントン大統領とジョン・アダムズ副大統領の2期目（4年）が始まった。
ジョージ・ワシントンの就任宣誓は最高裁陪席判事ウィリアム・クッシングの立ち会いで行われた。旧首都フィラデルフィアで初めて行われた大統領就任式であり、アメリカ合衆国憲法が発効して連邦政府が発足してからちょうど4年後のことだった。
就任演説[編集]
ジョージ・ワシントンの2回目の就任演説はこれまでで最短のものであり、わずか135語だった[1]。
Fellow Citizens:I am again called upon by the voice of my country to execute the functions of its Chief Magistrate. When the occasion proper for it shall arrive, I shall endeavor to express the high sense I entertain of this distinguished honor, and of the confidence which has been reposed in me by the people of united America.
Previous to the execution of any official act of the President the Constitution requires an oath of office. This oath I am now about to take, and in your presence: That if it shall be found during my administration of the Government I have in any instance violated willingly or knowingly the injunctions thereof, I may (besides incurring constitutional punishment) be subject to the upbraidings of all who are now witnesses of the present solemn ceremony.[2]
