レビュー集積サイト「Rotten Tomatoes」で、映画作品はすべてのプロのレビューが肯定的と評価されると100%の評価を得る。この数字は、サイトが集めたレビューを肯定的または否定的に分類して算出され、すべてのレビューが肯定的な場合にのみ100%となる。以下に挙げるのは、批評家の総意があるか、40人以上の批評家にレビューされた100%評価の映画である。これらの特に肯定的なレビューが多いも映画作品は、幅広く批評家の称賛を得ており、しばしば史上最高の映画とされる[1][2][3]。アメリカ映画協会（AFI）の「アメリカ映画ベスト100」リストに含まれる作品もあるが、数十件の肯定的なレビューを持つ作品の中には、専門家にとって意外なものもある[4]。現在、『足跡はかき消して』が253の肯定的なレビューで100%評価の記録を保持している[5][6]。

100%評価からの陥落

Rotten Tomatoesは投稿されたレビューに基づいて四捨五入で1％刻みのスコアが表示されるが、100％のみは例外であり、1件でも否定的なレビューが存在した場合は『100％』の数値はつかない。言い換えると、200件以上のレビューに対して1件のみの否定的レビューが存在する場合には、支持率は99.5%以上となるため四捨五入すると100％になるが、『99％』と表示されることになる。したがって100%評価は、批評家が意図的に否定的なレビューを投稿することで崩れる[7]。例えば、『レディ・バード』は196件目のレビューが投稿された時点ではすべて肯定的なレビューで『100%』だったが、ある批評家がパーフェクト評価に対抗して否定的なレビューを投稿した。現在、『レディ・バード』は398の肯定的レビューと4の否定的レビューで99%の評価となっている[8]。『パディントン2』も2017年の公開から100%を維持していたが、2021年6月に批評家が否定的なレビューを投稿し、現在は251の肯定的レビューと2の否定的レビューで99%となっている[9]。また、『市民ケーン』の場合は、80年前のシカゴ・トリビューンの否定的なレビューが発見され、115件のレビューによる100%評価が崩れた例もある[10]。

40件以上のレビューが投稿されたうえで『100％』評価を受けている映画作品のうち、「劇映画、日本で配信・公開されたドキュメンタリー映画」のリストを以下に示す。なお、このうち『東京物語』『ファニーとアレクサンデル』『トリコロール/赤の愛』の3本は、もう1つのレビュー集積サイトMetacriticでも最高評価の100点を獲得している[11]。
