Research university - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A research university or a research-intensive university is a university that is committed to research as a central part of its mission. Academic research is a fundamental aspect of the mission of a research university, which is a specific type of higher education institution.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]
