Clarification on Disclosure – K-ID (company) Article

[edit]

Hi Billy,

Thank you for your recent note on the K-ID (company) article. I just wanted to clarify that I was not personally or professionally connected to the subject in any way. However, I was compensated after helping to improve the article, and I made a disclosure in good faith, labeling it as a conflict of interest, thinking that was the correct step.

I now understand the difference between a COI and a paid contribution under Wikipedia’s guidelines. Since mine was strictly a paid editing situation (with no close ties to the subject), I’d like to correct this if needed and ensure I comply fully with the Terms of Use.

Would you recommend I replace my Talk page note with a proper paid disclosure statement? Or are there other steps I should take to address the tag?

I really appreciate your time and guidance. I'm still learning and want to handle all my contributions correctly.

Thanks again,
