Page move granted
[edit]
Hello, Sahaib. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.
Useful links:
- Wikipedia:Requested moves
- Category:Requested moves, for article renaming requests awaiting action.
If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! —Femke 🐦 (talk) 11:34, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
On the accessibility of your user page
[edit]Hello :). Just wanted to shoot you an email with some more tips about what to work on before a possible RfA. Do you have email disabled, or am I simply a bit blind? Happy to talk onwiki if that's your preferred way of communicating.
One thing that doesn't require email is some feedback about your user page, which is the first thing people will look during an RfA. Currently, it's not very accessible:
- There is insufficient contrast between your background colour and Wikipedia's black text (#202122). You can use this contrast checker to find colours that are more accessible
- While hiding stuff is allowed outside of mainspace, do keep in mind the spirit of WP:NOHIDE
- Avoid hiding links behind the word "here". Instead, ensure people know what they're clicking on, without having to read the surrounding text.
- Not accessibility related, but consider writing a bit more about yourself / work on Wikipedia! Always nice if people know how they're talking to, especially for newer editors who might find it intimidating to open a discussion.

Orphaned non-free image File:This Is Aidan.png
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:This Is Aidan.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:51, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

Ways to improve Mayor of Sevastopol
[edit]Hello, Sahaib,
Thank you for creating Mayor of Sevastopol.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
This article is fine as a list; but not as a prose article. Consider renaming it to be "List of mayors of ...". If the title omits the word "List" (like it does now) the article should have more body text (prose) describing the history of the mayor office; etc. As it is now: it is a List article,
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Noleander}}

@Noleander: I didn't add content to the page, I just created it as a redirect so this doesn't apply to me. Sahaib (talk) 16:03, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

'Brian Thompson's killer' redirect
[edit]Hi, Sahaib. Please be extremely careful in the future with changing redirects like you did at 'Brian Thompson's killer' (from Killing of Brian Thompson to Luigi Mangione). This presupposes that Mangione definitively killed Thompson prior to guilt proven at a trial, which is a form of libel under US law. It's also just generally not appropriate for us to be judging who is and isn't someone's killer in the absence of reliable, independent sources. TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 14:46, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- @TheTechnician27: please check the history of the redirect and don’t blame a user for something they didn’t do thanks. Sahaib (talk) 15:29, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Surinamese people by occupation and populated place indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 04:25, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
